Taylor in Isolet 1-29-09

Kaylie in Isolet 1-29

Update

Today the babies are 1 week old!! I will update more often and post more photos soon! This has been a pretty rough week because I haven't felt well and about all I have been able to manage in a day is to get to the hospital two or three times a day for feedings every three hours. Taylor and Kaylie are doing pretty well. They are still having a hard time eating much they are gradually eating more. The doctors say they have to be able to eat more, gain weight, maintain their body temperature, and not have their alarms go off for their heart monitors, oxygen monitors, and body temperature before they can go home. We don't have any idea how long that will take but I think it may be another week. They are absolutely adorable though. It is unbelieveable how they already have such different personalities. Taylor is laid back and just lays in her isolet and constantly sticks out her tongue. Kaylie is hyper! She somehow manages to inch her way around the isolet. She manages to kick her legs and arms and head to one side as though she is trying her best to turn over. She constantly has her arms spread out and legs kicking around. Neale changed his first diapers ever in the last couple days. He has been going to the hospital with me after work and helping feed one of the babies. They don't eat as well as they should so it is a challenge to get them to take their whole bottle in the 30 minutes they need to take it in. Today I took Neale's little camera up there to take some photos of all of us and I forgot the memory card for the camera!!! As a photographer that is not something that happens EVER so you can see how my week has gone.......I will post some more photos soon!!!!!

Kaylie

Condition

Kaylie and Taylor are both doing pretty well. They are under lights to treat jaundice, having a little trouble eating and having their oxygen, heart rate, etc monitored. The doctors say we should be able to bring them home in a week to 14 days.

Taylor Cameron Chinn

Taylor Cameron Chinn was born 1/23/09 at 12:17 pm. Everyone thinks she looks more like her mother. She sticks her tongue out constantly and the nurses have called her Gene Simmons.

Kaylie Rebecca Chinn

Kaylie Rebecca Chinn was born 1/23/09 at 12:16 pm. Everyone thinks she looks like dad. Her bottom lip trembles when she cries which we think is adorable. The nurse said she definitely has her own little personality and she didn't think Kaylie would "take crap from anyone".
