7 Months Old

It is hard to believe the girls are 7 months old. Time is flying by much too fast. The girls are doing great. Kaylie is trying to crawl. She isn't really getting anywhere yet but she is trying. Yesterday she was able to keep herself sitting up by herself briefly. The girls got a babydoll for their 7 month birthday. They like it but are much more interested in trying to eat it than play with it. They did show excitement when they got it though. Taylor giggles and it is the cutest thing ever. She mostly giggles at Kaylie but sometimes at me too. The girls went to church for the first time last week. Taylor and I spent most of the time in the crying room. Kaylie and Neale were able to stay in the church for the whole service. The babies are perfect. Life is good......

We love toys ...and fighting over them

The girls love to play with toys.....and they fight over them. Taylor's favorite thing to do is steal Kaylie's pacifier. If you try to give Taylor a pacifier she doesn't want it but she constantly steals Kaylie's (see photos below). I have the sequence of it happening and another attempt by Taylor where Kaylie was trying to block her with her hand. It amuses Taylor but Kaylie doesn't take it very well. There is also another photo of them fighting over another toy. I think that time Kaylie may have actually stolen it from Taylor .....and you can see Taylor wasn't too happy. They are growing too fast!!! Kaylie weighs 14 lbs 4 oz. and Taylor is probably about 15 lbs.

Neale's mom, Dale, and Aunt Cathy were here last weekend. We had a great visit with them and it was nice to see them. Cathy started a 529 college fund for the girls which we are very grateful for. We really appreciate it! I took some photos of them when they were here which I will post soon. I have to find them. They are one one of my 30 or so very large memory cards and I am not quite sure which one. I am about as far behind on editing my photography as I have ever been. It is a very busy time of year. I am a little stressed out and not getting much sleep but I am lucky that people are still having their photos taken in this economy.

The ladies at daycare call Taylor "Smiley". The girls are perfect. Neale is a great father. We are just really enjoying it all and just wishing time wasn't flying by quite as fast as it is.

Full of Personality

Taylor's two teeth are really coming in. Kaylie doesn't have any yet. I have been laying a comforter down on the wood floor so the girls can play with each other and play with their toys. I ran upstairs for less than 2 minutes and Kaylie was across the room when I came back downstairs. Gone are the days where they would stay in one place. Kaylie can't crawl yet but she can roll and the girl can move! She loves to roll onto her stomach but she often gets stuck there and cries. She is trying to crawl and gets a little frustrated that she isn't going anywhere. Taylor likes to grab onto Kaylie and Kaylie doesn't like it at all. I actually saw Taylor grab Kaylie's pacifier out of Kaylie's mouth and try to put it in her mouth (photo below). The dogs love the babies and they also love their toys. They disappear from time to time and I discover them on the dog's bed. Both of the girls know their name and will look at you when you call them. Neale and I are both very happy and proud parents.

Busted stealing sissy's pacifier!

Photos by Lynn Cole Daly

These are some photos shot by my friend, Lynn Cole Daly. GS Magazine is featuring local photographers in their next issue and our family is going to be one of the four families featured. These were taken in about 100 degrees at noon right after we got rained on so excuse the way we look.
