9 Months Old

The girls are fabulous! They went for their 9 month check up with the doctor. Taylor weighs 16.8lbs (10th %), 27 1/2 inches (50%). Kaylie weighs 15.5 lbs (5th %), 28 1/2 inches (75-90%). Kaylie is all over the place! Now that she knows how to stand up while holding onto something, that is all she wants to do. She crawls all over the house. You can't take your eyes off her for one second or she will take off and have a shoe or whatever she can find in her mouth. Saturday was the girls' 1st night in their cribs. Kaylie dove into Taylor's side of the bassinet head first and I caught her standing up in the bassinet so it was time to go to their own bedroom. Taylor is getting a wave in her hair. I am not sure if it is going to turn into curls or exactly what it is. She is in a phase where she is scared of everything. If the dogs bark, she cries. If I leave the room, she cries. When I put her to bed in the new room, she cries. The girls are getting much harder to keep up with but I love every minute of it.

Yes...we still fight over toys.

Adorable gift from Peggy.

Taylor is now getting her top teeth too!

Kaylie can almost stand without holding onto anything.

Halloween Costumes

I took the girls to the studio to get photos in their halloween costumes. Kaylie cried because she wanted to get out of her costume and Taylor cried when I took hers off. The girls are great. They have their 9 month doctor appointment this week. Kaylie has stood up while holding onto something a few more times. We took the girls to a chili cookoff today. It was freezing out so we didn't stay too long but the girls seemed to enjoy it.

Ewwww! This doesn't taste like I thought it would.

I woke up this morning to my adorable angels staring at me. I think it is time to move to the cribs. We have put it off as long as we could.

Crawling, Sitting, Standing, Talking, Teeth!!!!!

On Oct 7th (1 day after Taylor) Kaylie sat up by herself for the first time. On the very same day she also stood up for the first time while holding onto something. And....Neale was running on the treadmill and Kaylie looked right up at him and said Da-Da. Sunday we discovered that Kaylie has teeth coming in finally. Last week was a huge week of 1sts for the girls! Over the weekend I woke up and Kaylie was staring at me from her bed (which is still in our room) and she lifted up one hand like she was waving and said "hey". Taylor is a little dancer. When she hears music her whole body starts moving! Neale sings this little song to her and she dances and giggles...it is adorable. I also discovered Kaylie is ticklish. I was tickling her and she was giggling so loud. These moments are priceless. They have such personalities and I just can't get enough of them. We took the girls to a pumpkin patch. They weren't very impressed. I made them sit on the straw and they did not like that. They made horrible faces and cried. Wendy B and her family babysat for the girls last week and gave Neale and I a few hours to go out which was very much appreciated. I know I say it all the time...but our lives could not be better.

Taylor's favorite thing is still to steal her sissy's pacifier.

Big Day of 1sts for Taylor

Taylor sat up all by herself on the bed this morning for the 1st time with no help. Kaylie can't do that yet but she can stay sitting up for a while if you place her that way. Taylor also said her first really clear "DA-DA" that didn't just sound like baby babble. She must have impressed herself because she kept saying it over and over. Kaylie can crawl! If I sit on the floor and call her she can make it across the room to me every time. Taylor can't crawl yet. She prefers to roll to get to where she wants to go. We are hoping the swine vaccines get here soon as alot of people around here have it. We got a note from daycare that someone there has Flu-like symptoms. The girls are growing up so quickly. They clearly understand "Come Here" and "No" (although they don't always listen to that one). I have to say that they are still perfect babies. We are very blessed.

Playing with sissy - it won't be long until one of us starts to cry because sissy is playing with my toy- usually Taylor
