Double Trouble

You're not coming up here
Oh yes I am

I'm not liking this gate on the stairs

Drinking our ba-ba's before bed

In Action

Touching Toes

I love my Daddy

I put a gate on the stairs. It isn't very stable but it is safer than the girls constantly climbing the stairs. Taylor got her first behavior report at daycare for biting someone who had a toy she wanted. She is getting bad about biting when she gets mad or when you have something she wants and won't give it to her. We are working on it....Taylor said "Kaylie" for the 1st time this morning. I told Kaylie to give her sister a hug this morning and I got a very dramatic headshake no. Sisterly love.......

15 months - Happy Chaos

I do know I am not supposed to be doing this......

Putting a flower in my hair

Taylor 20.11lbs (10%), 30 inches (25%)

Kaylie 19.8 lbs (5%), 31 inches (50%)

Neale and I just celebrated our 5 year Anniversary. We have actually been together for over 11 years. We took the girls to Ripley's Aquarium and lunch at Margaritaville to celebrate. They were more interested in the moving sidewalk than the fish and sharks but we had a good time. The girls are everywhere. Taylor loves to climb stuff and if you take your eyes off her for 5 seconds she will have made it to the top of the stairs in our house and Kaylie is usually not too far behind her. Taylor does it because she loves to climb stuff and Kaylie does it because she knows she is not supposed to. If you tell Kaylie no she laughs. We have tried time out, counting to 3 (which sometimes works), etc. The girls just went for their 15 month check up and the girls were not behaving. The nurse recommended instead of constantly saying "NO" that we try to distract them with something else when they do something bad. It actually works most of time....and they are constantly doing things they aren't supposed to do (hitting, biting, getting into all the cabinets, playing in the dog's water bowl, climbing stairs, etc). So Neale and I are working on the distracting method. Wish us luck.....I think we need it.

Sweet Girls

The girls went with me to Greenville last weekend. I had a rehearsal dinner and wedding so they stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Stovall. The normally less than 4 hour ride took 6 hours.....the girls had Croop and cried almost the whole way there. It was rough but we had a good visit. The girls are better but still have a little cough. It is hard to believe the girls are almost 15 months old. Kaylie can't sit still. She is all over the place and seems so smart to me. She understands and responds to me. She has started dancing and it is the funniest thing ever. She sticks her little behind out and squats down with one arm out. My description can't do it justice but it is a sight to see. Tonight I came home from work and both girls ran to meet me the door and hugged me and Kaylie kissed me (without me asking them to) which was so sweet. Taylor likes to climb things, open and close things, and hold things. She still is very "baby like" where Kaylie seems like a little adult. Taylor is starting to rebel some and is very jealous of her sister. If you turn around she takes off up the stairs. She is still her giggly adorable self. Both girls are so sweet and happy and I couldn't be more proud of them.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Here are some photos from Easter. Taylor wanted to hold all the eggs in her hands. Kaylie ran around and picked up the eggs and put them in her basket.

Taylor discovered the Animal Cookies from Grandma and Grandpa Pettigrew that we put in the eggs.

Yummy cookies.

Kaylie knows how to talk on the phone

Taylor singing on the microphone

Neale and I took some Easter Eggs and laid them in the front yard (we didn't hide them) for the girls for Easter. Kaylie loved it. She ran around and got eggs and we told her to put them in her basket and she did. She really understands things we say to her. Taylor doesn't understand as much but she was content just sitting down and holding as many eggs as she could in her hands. She liked the animal cookies we put in them also. The girls wore their new dresses from Grandma and Grandpa Pettigrew. Happy late birthday to Dale! I know I haven't posted for a while but it has been crazy. Work is really picking up so I am back to needing about 10 more hours in the day. Neale is substitute teaching still but looking for a job for the summer when school gets out. The girls are growing so much. The girls can say alot of words and they know how to say mama and mommy but they rarely used to say it. Now they say it all the time but Kaylie calls me "Mimi" and Taylor calls me NahNah...close to mama but not quite. The girls love being outside. They are sweet little girls and life couldn't be better.

Happy Easter

If you follow the blog regularly you know that Taylor likes for things to be CLOSED. The doors have to be closed, the toybox has to be closed, etc. So you can see how the mailbox on her new playhouse which won't stay closed caused her problems
I WANT THIS CLOSED
STAY CLOSED!!!

I GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO STAND HERE AND HOLD IT

I LOVE MY PLAYHOUSE!!
YAY!!!!!!!!
WE ARE EVEN SHARING

MY SERIOUS LOOK

GRANDMA FRAN AND GRANDPA DALE...TAYLOR DIDN'T TAKE A LONG ENOUGH NAP SO SHE WAS OUT OF SORTS

DAD AND GRANDPA DALE WORKING HARD WHILE GRANDMA FRAN AND I WATCH THE GIRLS
TAYLOR ACTUALLY PICKED THIS FLOWER AND KEPT TRYING TO PUT IT IN HER HAIR...SMART COOKIE

PRECIOUS BABY HANDS

We had a wonderful visit with Fran and Dale. They worked the entire time they were here. They watched and played with the babies, helped clean out the garage, got our sprinkler system working for us, put together the playhouse, etc. We are very grateful and appreciate it! The girls got a playhouse. Kaylie loves it and Taylor likes it but isn't quite sure about it yet. Today Kaylie was testing her boundaries. I kept telling her no she could not crawl up the stairs and she would do it and look at me to see how I was going to react. She is a stubborn one but my mom says that I was the exact same way. She told me when I was little I was supposed to apologize to my brother, Jeff, for something I did but I wouldn't. She said I kept saying "I not sorry". So she made me sit in one spot until I did and I refused so I eventually just fell asleep there. Ohh...I am going to have my hands full. I guess it is payback.
